Dementia is a broad term that includes a variety of diseases that affect memory, cognition, language, and the capacity to do daily tasks. The most common cause of dementia is Alzheimer's disease.
Elderly people are described to be happier when they can live independently in their own homes for as long as possible. This is particularly true for people diagnosed with dementia.
Consistency of carers
We aim to establish a long-term positive relationship with our clients and their families, which means we want to provide to you a familiar care team, so you and them will always know who will assist your loved one when the carers are on vacation or sick leave, and they won’t be stuck with a stranger or handed off to new carers all the time.
Inclusive communities
As we are familiar with the community where our clients reside in, we can support them to engage with communities that they have interest in such as painting, gardening, singing, etc.

Emotional support and Respite Care for family members caring for a loved one
Respite care for family members is a necessary break to maintain the family's well-being and health by allowing them to rest while their loved ones are cared for by us.
Reminiscence therapy
Reminiscence therapy helps patients with dementia remember events, people, and places from their past lives by using all of their senses: sight, touch, taste, smell, and sound.
Management of behaviour changes
Our Carers have been trained to recognize and manage events that affect the client's behaviour. Dementia patients can have variations in their behaviour. Confusion, irritability, and anguish are some of the behavioural changes that can occur. It's difficult for the family to know what to do or how to respond in certain situations. Seeing it can also be difficult for family members. Having the knowledge and awareness of these types of behaviours, as well as how to deal with them, can help to ease these situations.
Intellectual mind-stimulating activities
Our cares can assist our clients by involving them in activities that will help them to be exercising the mind and delay declines in thinking skills, such as: Play memory games; Work on crossword, number, or other kinds of puzzles; Read, write.
Although the activities may be different for each client, the main goal is to keep the brain active and challenged.
